I have been with Kroger for 26 years, holding several different positions including store clerk, assistant store leader and store leader. I enjoy being in the stores as it provides a variety of challenges and keeps me active. My biggest strengths are leads through positive influence and achieves results through teamwork. I am good at building relationships which helps build trust with my associates. I am a positive influence throughout the store which creates a good working environment that associates want to be a part of and achieve great results. Metrics and goals are a big part of our daily focus and we have to make sure everyone is on board and working the processes. Backroom organization and flow are a passion of mine and it make the store run much more efficiently. Finally, sales have to be at the forefront of everything we do in the grocery business. Merchandising and sales plan execution is another passion of mine. In order to maximize sales, we have to make sure in stock is a daily focus and that we have the right items in the right location.

4 YearsAs an assistant store leader, I am in charge of daily operations of the store, ensuring departments are set to standard and processes are being completed daily. I am in charge of sales plan execution and merchandising throughout the store. I work closely with DSD vendors to make sure sales plan is being followed and displays are set to maximize sales. Composite scores are a big part of my daily routine. This includes in stock behaviors, wages, and pickup metrics. I make sure the store is in the best condition to ensure our customers have the best experience and want to return.
Store Leader
7 Years 2 MonthsI was a store leader from 2015 to 2022. I started at store 339 in Porter and from there went to stores 395, 390, 373 and 145. As a store leader, I managed the total store making sure that all departments are ready for the customer daily. Main focus was in stock, clean and friendly. I made sure that the merchandising around the store was set to standard and driving for sales. Operations was another area that I managed, ensuring wages, expenses and in stock behaviors were in place.
LE Mentor
4 MonthsI was a LE mentor store manager and in this role I was mentoring an LE candidate and making sure he was given the training and knowledge to get him ready to go into the ASM role. We worked side by side daily so he could see what it is that I look for and expect out of my team. He also worked with my ASMs and department head to gain their knowledge.
High Volume Store Leader Program
6 MonthsI was in the High Volume Store Leaders program. In this program, we are given a number of activities to complete that help develop us as store managers and we are also given a co-manager to mentor.
Assistant Store Leader
8 Years 2 MonthsI was an assistant store leader at stores 376, 395, 114, 364, 307 and 117. As an assistant store leader, I was in charge of making sure all departments were set to standard and that they were ready for the customer daily. I helped ensure that merchandising around the store was set to standard and were items that helped drive sales. I was in charge of operational numbers, making sure wages were in line, in stock behaviors and metrics were being met.
Store Clerk
6 Years 6 MonthsI started with Kroger as a bagger at store 307. I was in several different positions such as, dairy clerk, produce clerk, frozen clerk and receiver on the weekends. I also helped as a MOD to close the store when needed.
