• Engaged in a sophisticated primarily defense-oriented litigation motion and appellate practice that included drafting complaints, answers, motions to compel arbitration, notices of removal to federal court and briefs in opposition to remand, discovery requests and responses to requests, motions to compel production of documents and for in camera review, briefs in support of and in opposition to motions to dismiss and summary judgment, plus notices of appeal and associated filings and appellate briefs filed in state and federal appellate courts.

• Provided freelance motion practice and appellate briefing services to attorneys in Alabama and Georgia, with the appellate briefs drafted filed by client attorneys in the Alabama appellate courts and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

• Engaged in a sophisticated plaintiff's complex litigation practice in state and federal court that included prosecuting suits for violation of securities laws, prosecuting class action lawsuits for violation of consumer protection laws, and prosecuting lawsuits between business for breach of contract and various torts.
• Served as Chair of the Appellate Practice Group and engaged in an appellate practice in state and federal appellate courts that included drafting appellate briefs, mandamus petitions, and petitions for a writ of certiorari, including the the United States Supreme Court.

• Engaged in a sophisticated plaintiff's litigation practice prosecuting claims for violation of securities laws., claims in lawsuits between businesses for breach of contract and/or various torts, and class action lawsuits involving claims for violation of consumer protection laws.

• Assisted Associate Justices Henry Steagall (1994-95), Terry Butts (1995-98), and Champ Lyons (1998) by reviewing and summarizing arguments made in appellate briefs and other appellate filings, preparing bench memos for appellate arguments, and drafting approximately 70 opinions deciding appeals as determined by the Court.

Assisted the Chief Justice reviewing and summarizing arguments made in appellate briefs and other appellate filings, preparing bench memos for appellate arguments, and drafting approximately 10 opinions deciding appeals as determined by the Court, plus reviewing the proposed Alabama Rules of Evidence to identify any differences as compared to existing common law.
