While I served at the Timberwolf Inn, I gained a variety of skills in my position that translate usefully to other spaces.

• At the start of my shift, my immediate duty was to set up for the day ahead of me. In the limited time I was given, I efficiently prepared by restocking, cleaning, setting up, learning daily specials, etc. I had to be fully prepared for customers to walk in the second we opened.
• I was knowledgeable about the food and drinks we served, so I could make specific recommendations for the customers. I learned exactly what to say to guide a customer in the right direction.
• I resolved customer complaints promptly, while maintaining a positive dining experience. Nine times out of ten, I could turn an unhappy customer into a happy one.
• I worked with both FOH, BOH, and management to ensure a smooth service.
• I managed table assignments and guest seating for optimal flow and efficiency.
• I performed opening and closing duties such as setting up the dining area, restocking supplies.

• Welcomed guests with a friendly demeanor and attentive service.
• Coordinated seating arrangements to optimize guest flow and comfort.
• Assisted servers by communicating special requests and dietary restrictions.
• Answered phone inquiries to schedule and confirm reservations, record takeout orders, and respond to service questions.
• Greeted customers and escorted them to their tables.
• Maintained cleanliness standards in the dining area, including wiping down tables and chairs between seatings.
