I am an undergraduate student at Tulane University in Public Health. I plan to pursue a career in clinical nutritional research and therapy where I have the opportunity to help improve the health of individuals and society. This objective is supported by my strong worth ethic, adaptability, critical thinking, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
President's Volunteer Service Award (2021) received for performing 100 hours of service in my community
Dean's List (Spring and Fall 2023 semesters) received for maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or greater
After Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico in the fall of 2017, I coordinated with Project Beisbol to start a donation drive in my local community targeting my high school and local baseball fields. I paired up with the founder of president of Project Beisbol, Justin Hallady to travel to different communities in Puerto Rico to distribute the equipment and supplies. Every day, we traveled to a new community and spent the day giving kids equipment, teaching and playing baseball with them, visiting their schools, and sometimes talking with their families.
As an intern volunteer, I spent a month in Bogota and Cartegena, helping organize and distribute baseball equipment to different communities. I also helped run the daily baseball practices.
Volunteer activities included making sandwiches, tortilla wraps, and other bagged lunches as well as serving and meeting the patrons
