• Deliver Financial Literacy workshops and one-on-one coaching session on topics such as budgeting, saving, banking credit, debt management, and financial goal setting.
• Tailor financial education content to meet the culture linguistic, and contextual needs of Afghan refugee Chems.
• Utilize provided financial wellness curriculum and materials, adapting as needed for accessibility and client engagement.
• Collaborate with Peer Support Specialists to integrate financial wellness activities into case plans and community outreach efforts.
• Support clients in accessing safe and appropriate financial products, including opening bank accounts and understanding digital banking tools.
• Track client progress toward financial goals and document outcomes in program data systems.
• Participate in education sessions with community partners, nonprofits, housing counselors, and employment support programs.
• Stay informed about public benefits and income-support programs (e.g., TANF, SNAP, SSI) and assist clients with accessing and navigating them as needed.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
• Promote financial empowerment by building client confidence and supporting long-term behavior change.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Actively works within assigned program area, using this time to develop member relationships, improve engagement,
and improve the overall quality of programs.
• Actively participates in program related events, meetings and staff training.
• Ensure that all assigned program areas are following YMCA standards.
• Assists with interviewing, onboarding, and training of new staff.
• Supports the Director of Operations in staff scheduling.
• Assists with the execution of new program initiatives.
• Maintains all required program records and compiles needed statistics.
• Identifies concerns and works with Director of Operations to resolve them in a timely manner.
• Supports the Director of Operations with identifying program needs in relation to staffing, program supplies,
equipment, etc.
• Assists in center fund raising activities and special events.
• Other duties as assigned include food distribution rotation.
• Reports suspicious and inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.
• Follows mandated abuse and incident reporting requirements.
• Meets timelines and deadlines related to supporting systems and employee compliance. Example includes but are not
limited to Kronos Workforce Ready for review and approval of time sheets.
• Other duties as assigned include airport pickup and food distribution rotation.
