· Investigate Fair Housing Title VIII complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.

· Interview Complainants, Respondent(s), Respondent(s) legal representative, witnesses, law enforcement, and physicians, and conduct on-site inspections.

· Prepare and present written investigative findings reports, subpoenas, and other evidence as needed for District courts.

· Serve as mediator for settlement negotiation/resolution, and prepare written Conciliation agreements.

· Monitor compliance of Conciliation agreements with Respondent(s), and enforce fair housing laws.

· Work with Housing Urban Development (HUD), Code Enforcement, law enforcement, and social service agencies to assist in investigations.

· Collaborate with Human Relations Commission board, city departments, and local businesses to promote fair housing awareness.

· Enter and maintain records and documents into the HEMS Management system, and prepare case file.

· Oversee and manage two 9-1-1 Emergency Services operations budget of over two million dollars.

· Manage compliant use of funds and reported revenue, as mandated by the Commission of State and Emergency Communications.

· Collect and monitor 9-1-1 service fees that are paid by citizens through state and county 911 surcharges.

· Serve as a liaison between local law enforcement, Corpus Christi Police Department, and Nueces County, as well as with the Commission on State Emergency Communications, and the National Emergency Number Association.

· Effectively manage and direct outreach events, community, employee, and law enforcement projects.

· Research and interpret laws and ordinances, and grant source funding.

· Perform analysis and research of auto thefts and trends in the city and county.

· Research and extract data from SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) software.

· Identify and interpret patterns of activity or behavior of auto thieves, and predict future activity.

· Brief police detectives of suspect leads, and work with other law enforcement agencies to identify auto theft locations.

· Contact auto theft victims to obtain written statements, and identify personal property missing.

· Prepare and disseminate weekly statistical reports; complete monthly auto theft statistical reports; prepare various end of the year reports.

· Attend monthly CompStat meetings with police command staff, and provide updates on patterns and trends of auto theft.

· Conduct auto theft/safety presentations to groups, organizations, and police cadets.

· Coordinate community events to educate the public on auto theft awareness.

· Adjunct Professor of “Legal Aspects of Law Enforcement."

· Utilize various learning modalities, and supporting materials to facilitate the learning process.

· Assess student comprehension and monitor student performance.

· Encourage and facilitate class discussions, by building discussions into lessons and using techniques to track student participation.

· Develop lesson plans, curriculum standards, and syllabi.

· Providing contract oversite of the Community Youth Development Program.

· Serving as the liaison between the Fiscal Agent, the City of Corpus Christi and various providers who are subcontracted.

· Monitoring and supervising subcontractors who provide recreational and at-risk youth services to youth in the 78415-zip code area.

· Evaluating contractor services by survey, and community feedback.

· Overseeing compliance of federal regulations and city agreements.

· Preparing a Request for Proposal (RFP) and responding to inquiries related to the bidding process.

· Providing training to subcontractors on the RFP process.

· Directing and leading the Community Youth Development Steering Committee, and ensuring compliance of program goals and outcomes.

· Compliance programming of subcontractor's reports for completeness and conformity to contract requirements under the Director of Park and Recreation.

· Providing administrative support by researching policy issues and ordinances, and drafting recommendations.

· Preparing contracts and agreements, and city council agendas.

· Conduct complex investigations of abuse and neglect of children, in a specialized unit focusing on child deaths, and sexual assault.

· Conduct interviews with victims, perpetrators, witnesses, medical staff, law enforcement, and legal representatives.

· Work closely with law enforcement, Driscoll Children’s Hospital, Children’s Advocacy Center of the Coastal Bend, and other social service agencies to assist in investigations.

· Prepare and present investigative reports, and hearing evidence for District and/or local, and state proceedings.

· Enter and maintain records and documents into the Records Management Group.
