As a shift manager, I made sure shelves were stocked and was responsible for opening and closing the store. I was also the backroom captain. My duties included making sure the backroom pull was completed each day and that things were kept up to date in the backroom.
As an opener in the store, I had to do daily drawer audits, and at the end of the shift, I had to make sure the safe was balanced. Customer service was also a big part of my job. Accepting and scanning orders into inventory was also one of my duties.
I was employed as a part-time substitute for the Newaygo Schools as a kitchen staff person. My duties were to help serve lunches to the students, with some prep work as well.. I would also perform the clean-up duties, including operating the commercial dishwasher, mopping the floor, and cleaning tables.
I have been a 4-H leader and a Newaygo County Fair Board member for about 20 years.
