Work History
Area Manager

08.2025 - Current
I am the general manager of 3 franchise owned Crumbl locations in Northern Virginia.
I oversee daily activities, design growth strategies, set goals, create policies and ensure alignment with company objectives.
I develop and manage budgets, control costs, monitor financial performance and optimize expenses.
I recruit, train, mentor and supervise employees.
I do the weekly schedules for all three of my stores.
I evaluate operational and financial performance.
I meet closely with the franchise owners once a week to implement improvements and ensure productivity and quality.
I address issues like declining profits, employee conflicts or market challenges, making key decisions.
I build relationships with our clients; vendors and I represent the company.
I coordinate with sales, marketing, HR and Crumbl corporate.
I act as the primary decision-maker for key business functions.
I am also able to open/close and run my stores internally when the need dictates.
I travel to all 3 of my stores throughout the week to ensure their success and I also heavily monitor that we are corporate and state compliant.
Store Manager
Melrose New Mexico Fashions
08.2023 - 07.2025
Responsible for a team of 10 employees.
I handled all day-to-day responsibilities such as scheduling, hiring, performance reviews, terminations, coaching’s, supply orders, merchandising, inventory, cash-control, deposits, price changes, floor resets, openings and closings, seasonal updates, store promotions, markdowns, store to store transfers, freight, promo signage, mannequin designs and overall store presentation.
I had daily, weekly and monthly sales targets and goals to meet.
I would travel throughout the year, sometimes out of state to sister stores and assist in the training of their new store managers.
I left Melrose because I moved back to Virginia.
Remote Sales Agent
HGS, USA
07.2021 - 08.2023
My position entailed high volume calls throughout my shift.
I verified the details of the customer address when they are transferred to me from various varying utility and Internet companies that we partnered with.
I then provided them with options regarding Internet, cable, phone, home security and streaming services.
This opened the opportunity to me to sell multiple products and to help the customer get set up with their new services.
I averaged about 25 to 35 calls per shift.
The position was extremely fast-paced, detail oriented and required the handling of highly confidential information such as names, addresses Social Security numbers, dates of birth and credit card details.
I worked from a blend of company mandated scripts and my own personal interjections.
I tried to bring as much of my sales personality to the table.
All my calls were recorded to ensure compliance and consistency.
This was a base salary plus uncapped commission position.
The company provided incentives to help the agents grow their sales skills.
New products were introduced monthly and the company provided ongoing training as we expanded.
I worked with two company provided computers to ensure plenty of space for the multiple apps that I worked within.
Calls were usually back-to-back.
It was a fun, high energy environment and it gave me the opportunity to strengthen my salesmanship.
Unfortunately, the company pulled out of my state and no longer serviced New Mexico.
Store Manager
The UPS Store
09.2016 - 07.2021
As a store manager I was responsible for hiring, performance appraisals, scheduling, payroll, purchasing audits, specialized packaging, box holder accounts, digital fingerprinting, passport photos, large and specialized print orders, banners, business cards, canvas prints, notarial services, vendor bill pay, Amazon returns, national and international shipping and shredding services.
We partnered with local auction houses in Santa Fe and Albuquerque New Mexico that required specialized packaging for very high value ticket items.
I had to be corporate trained in specialized packaging to be able to ship irreplaceable items that were insured for thousands and thousands of dollars.
I worked closely with corporate and was responsible for quarterly audits that determined the viability of my store.
I also traveled to five other sister stores to help in training their new mangers and to help in any way that I could.
My reason for leaving was that I moved to another city in New Mexico.
Assistant Store Manager
Walmart
03.2010 - 06.2016
I provided customer service by addressing the needs, concerns and product inquiries of each customer I interfaced with.
I directed and supervised all the employees during my shift to ensure that all assignments, duties, policies, and procedures were being adhered to regarding Walmart’s strict guidelines.
This was done to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for our employees and customers.
I met with upper management daily to outline their expectations of what needed to be accomplished by me and my team on my shift.
As an overnight manager I oversaw 25 plus employees that spanned the entire store.
I had to implement and enforce the nightly expectations for each department and make continuous rounds throughout the night to offer help, support and to offer suggestions to make sure that the staff was fully aware of the expectations for that shift.
I created their schedules, did their performance reviews and enforced disciplinary actions and sometimes had to process terminations.
I had nightly reports to complete.
I managed store inventory, placed supply orders and spent most of my 12-hour shift overseeing the backroom inventory as it was being brought to the sales floor for staging and merchandising.
I worked closely with my backroom team to ensure that all merchandise that was coming off the trucks was being delivered on pallets to the correct departments.
The night shift posed a much higher risk for injuries as we pushed so much freight to the floor and sometimes employees chose to dangerously cut corners to save time.
I had to set break and lunch times so we could set up a register so the employees could make their food and drink purchases.
We all carried A walkie-talkie as communication was so critical.
It was rare to have more than two managers on a night shift, but we would split the store in half, and I was responsible for my half.
Some nights it was just me and I had to overcome some huge obstacles, and those challenges helped me to fine tune my time management skills, problem solving, teamwork, delegation, people skills, patience, toughness, fairness, kindness, empathy, grace and perseverance.
I was met every morning with a store manager with very high expectations.
I grew a lot as a manager and as a person through these challenges and victories.
I learned that every problem or difficulty carries with it a solution and a lesson learned.
I accomplished what seemed impossible at times and discovered that one of my major strengths was problem solving with added endurance and the thirst to learn new things.
The reason for leaving was that I moved from Virgina to New Mexico.
