The restaurant moved locations, so I was able to help make that transition while also adapting to new coworkers. I started off as a host, food runner, and server at the first location, but I focused on serving when we moved to the new building. When I worked as a host, I maintained cleanliness in the dining room and bathroom, kept track of reservations and tables, and helped servers as they needed. While food running, I kept track and ran plates, making sure food was run in the intended course time, communicated with the kitchen efficiently, and took care of condiments and desserts. As a server, I explain menu options to guests, offer suggestions, and take orders for food and beverages, while providing excellent customer service to ensure a good dining experience.

Guests ordered off of QR codes, so my job was to help people navigate the ordering system, helped customers with questions about Mexican food and drink items they haven't seen before, and take orders by hand if needed. Also helped with cleaning, such as maintaining the bathrooms, patio, and dining room. As a food runner I restocked the bar, made Agua frescas, and ran plates and drinks.

When working at the counter, I was in charge of taking phone calls for deliveries and pickups, while giving out accurate completion times, taking walk-in orders for to-go orders, helping with over-the-phone complaints, and cleaning bathrooms. As a server, I often work lunches and busy dinners by myself, so I'm able to work in a fast and high-volume environment. I was also in charge of the salad bar, which consisted of making and dating the dressings correctly, rotating the veggies and cheeses, and making salads for all orders.

I only lived in Albany for a short time, but when I did, I helped with this small family restaurant. I got to work a special event with Chef Richard Orlando. They are a fine dining establishment, so I served with poise while also being efficient. Also, when the bartenders were too busy, I was happy to help out with drink service.

Managed seating arrangements efficiently, equally distributing tables, and minimizing wait times for guests. The restaurant attracted a lot of large parties, so I got to take care of big tables. We also had a very large food and beverage selection, so I helped guests navigate the menus and recommended items.

I worked in all front-of-house positions and trained many of my coworkers. Making sure everything was clean in the dining room and bathroom. I took orders in the drive-thru and in the dining room. Got guests in and out of the drive-thru efficiently but also made sure they were satisfied. Also helped with the expo and food run when needed.
