Eagle Scout Award, Boy Scouts of America, 04/01/14, Project: Repainting and galvanizing the handrails leading to the Battleship Texas. Required project planning, scheduling, reporting, and delivery. My Eagle Project was to repaint with white paint the handrails on the bridge that you use to come aboard the Battleship Texas, and paint with a marine grade Zinc paint, the rails leading to the dock. There were many steps to doing this project, the first was calculating the amount of paint I would need and to ask for donations, the company Sherman Williams graciously donated all the paint and some brushes. Dates were set to do the project. The project was planned to take two days, the last day, and it was completed in two days. Managing 40 people in teams and distributing the work out to the teams.
