Extensive experience in both customer service and music education roles. Effective interpersonal skills due to time spent working both as a barista and educator. • Instructs music majors at Sinclair College, helping them complete their associates degrees and prepare for auditions at four year universities. Through my instruction, one student completed her associates degree in music performance after not finding success over a ten year span. Another student auditioned at and received a full ride to the Peabody Institute of Music in Baltimore, Maryland.
• Directs the classical guitar ensemble at Sinclair college and facilitates concerts twice a year. Selects music for said concerts, assigns parts to guitar players based on skill level, and directs rehearsals in a manner that is accessible to everyone involved.
• Serves hundreds of people a day while working as a barista at Starbucks. Duties include memorizing drink recipes and preparing drinks for customers, taking orders at the cash register, building rapport with customers, and completing daily tasks such as mopping, washing dishes, cleaning espresso machines, and rotating product to ensure food items are used before expiration.
