Conducted research on fluorophore and quencher molecules used in qPCR systems, Prepared buffered solutions and stock solutions of BHQ-1, BHQ-3, 6-FAM, and HEX. Performed fluorescence spectroscopy to collect reference spectra and analyze quenching efficiency and applied literature review to guide experimental design and data interpretation.
Florian Reyda, 2025- Ongoing
Conducting directed research in parasitology under faculty supervision at the SUNY Oneonta Biological Field Station. Gaining hands-on experience in host collection and identification, host dissection, parasite removal, preservation, and preparation of permanent mounts. Developing skills in stereoscope and compound microscope use for parasite identification as well as enhancing scientific literacy through exploration of organismal diversity in New York ecosystems; Strengthening professional skills with emphasis on oral communication and scientific reporting.

Documentation of thousands of plant species into an online herbarium database, developing plant identification and data management skills while contributing to biodiversity records for New York ecosystems.
