Work History
Senior Field Service Technician
Xylem Leopold Company, Inc.
Zelienople, PA
01.1995 - Current
Since joining Leopold in 1995, I worked for 1-½ years as a laborer installing the Leopold Underdrain on a two-million-dollar job in Philadelphia; I was the lead foreman on this job. After completion of the Philadelphia project, I was promoted to Crew Foreman for various filter rehabilitation jobs. This position afforded him the opportunity to supervise a crew of personnel and travel throughout the United States installing underdrain systems.
After serving in the Rehab Department for one year, I began working in the Field Service Department. In 1998 I was promoted to Construction Manager. In this position, I oversaw two rehab crews while continuing his duties in Field Service.
In 2000, I was promoted to Assistant Service Manager Assistant. In this position, I assisted in the day-to-day activities of the Service Department, as well as continuing to support the department as a Field Service Technician.
In 2005, I was promoted to Service Manager, overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Service Department and addressing warranty-related issues. I oversaw 8 home-based service representatives, as well as several outsource field service representatives all over the globe. I have traveled to many locations both domestic and international working alongside contractors and plant personnel training them in the installation and use of our products.
In 2013, I advanced to Senior Field Service Technician, providing Leopold 'Advanced Direction and Advisory' services to the site contractor, Leopold Engineering, and Sales functions. Activities include installation, testing, and commissioning of Leopold Products and Systems. The Senior Technical Service Representative is also responsible for providing Sales & Engineering technical support for all past and current installation activities including mechanical investigations and installation assessments.
In 2018 our current Service Supervisor retired. I, in a temporary role, had taken on the job duties of the Service Supervisor controlling the scheduling of the service techs. My duties were helping solve field issues throughout the world. In September of 2018 I was asked to take on the scheduling of all domestic Sanitaire service techs with both internal and outsourced reps in conjunction with his Leopold Service Supervisor duties. I was involved in coordinating all of the commissioning of Xylem sourced blowers, compressors, air valves, mixers, pumps, etc. I was also responsible for seeing that outsource reps are paid after invoicing, and the collection of the field reports for review by Sanitaire PMs. I am currently working in the Senior Service Representative role with the duties and responsibilities as seen above.
