Accomplishments

  • Participated in the team that successfully negotiated and secured two buildings, along with adjacent parking lots, from the City of Chicago for $1 each, located in the Lower West Side (Pilsen) and South Chicago communities. Contributed to overseeing the full operational setup of both properties, ensuring they are now fully functional for organizational use.
  • Successfully expanded the number of grants for youth risk prevention services, violence prevention, gun violence prevention, after-school and out-of-school programs, parent leadership, and youth employment, growing the team from 1 FTE (FY11) to over 50 team members (FY24) under direct supervision.
