Summary

My name is Polina Nothnagle, and I am currently enrolled in the Associate Nursing program for the Fall of 2024 at the University of Saint Francis. I will be graduating with a Core 40 diploma from DeKalb High School, Waterloo IN, on June 2nd as a National Honor's Society scholar. My goal is to gain experience in the nursing field prior to my college attendance, and pursue real-world experiences while I earn my degree. Following the achievement of earning my Associate's Degree, I wish to continue my career in nursing with the intention of staying with the employment of Parkview. I am a strong-willed, devoted student that strives to create a positive bond with individuals around me and in my work environment.

  • Image of Hope Ranch - (2021) Volunteer based work for the non-profit riding charity, which focuses on riding therapy for mentally challenged or disabled individuals. Actions consisted of mucking stalls, cleaning the property, feeding horses, and seeing the the physical well-being of the ranch animals.
  • Peer Mentoring - (2022-2024) Helps introduce incoming freshman into the high school by providing tours, tutoring, and personal connections that are unique to each student. Involves continuous evaluations and daily check-ins with advisors and teachers.
  • Office Aid - (2022-2024) Substituted for study hall, this school credit was achieved by working as a Student Aid officer in the guidance office at DeKalb High School. Actions consisted of running student passes, preparing materials for school events, and helping with the specific needs of guidance counselors and secretary's.
