I mainly did fitting room. I would make sure the sales floor was cleaned, picked up, and organized. Making sure nothing was on the floor. I customer serviced a lot, and when needed I would cashier. For about 3 months straight I was doing nothing but shipment shifts, having to unpack, fold, and hang about 1000 items in 3-4 hour shifts. During those shifts I had to work in high stress situations while also remaining calm, and getting my work done. I Prepared merchandise for sales floor by pricing or tagging. I also Managed returns, exchanges and refunds in accordance with store policy. I also educated clients on current promotional offerings and products.
I was hired for seasonal as a sales associate, I would put out all the Christmas items on the sales floor, but I was also trained as a “beauty consultant.” This position took up most of my shifts. I would stock makeup onto the shelves while also keeping it organized. I would also help customers with any questions or concerns they had with makeup. I would also cashier when needed
I was mostly a cashier, I would have to upsell the forever 21 credit card everyday, having to reach a goal of at least 3 cards a day. I would often make that goal as I found the challenge to be enjoyable. I would customer service a lot. I would have to make sure the store was clean and organized everyday with nothing on the floor. I occasionally would work in the back helping with shipment, and unpacking new clothing items that came in.
