• Progressed through 13 years of continuous experience in mining operations with Capstone Copper, developing extensive knowledge of mine processes, equipment, and daily operational demands. Provide leadership and direction to employees while maintaining accountability for safety, production, quality, and operational performance.
• Train, coach, and develop employees to ensure they understand operating procedures, safety expectations, and job responsibilities.
• Trained multiple pump operators at the tailings pump house, developing employees’ knowledge and ability to safely and effectively operate the system.
• Developed and implemented an SOP for the operation of the tailings pump house, establishing standardized operating procedures to improve consistency, safety, and operational performance.
• Lead safety meetings, field inspections, pre-shift discussions, and employee coaching to reinforce a strong safety culture.
• Monitor operational performance and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure daily objectives are achieved.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and work priorities to maintain efficient operations and minimize downtime.
• Work closely with other departments and leadership to address operational issues, communicate priorities, and maintain production goals.
• Tailings Operations & Construction: Experienced in the operation, construction, and ongoing development of tailings facilities, including water management, embankment construction, material placement, compaction, and adherence to safety and operational standards. Skilled in coordinating crews and equipment to support safe, efficient, and compliant tailings operations.
