Raymond Secrest

Working as a combination Service Clerk and Cashier at Mansfield Big Y, I did several duties such as:

• Driving customer loyalty and consistent sales through friendly service and knowledgeable assistance.
• Greeted incoming customers and answered questions about available services.
• Providing relevant and up-to-date information to customers regarding memberships, sales, discounts and other pertinent information.
• Maintained the sales floor of the grocery store by cleaning spills, fixing shelves, and moving products around the store.
• Restocked supplies for the front end of the store such as paper bags, receipt paper, plastic produce bags, as well as other supplies used by the front end.
• Maintained the stores exterior by moving shopping carts and debris from the parking lot.
• Verified transactions as a cashier for the front end department of our store, scanning products and handling payment.
• Working in the bottle-room of our store to make sure the space was clean and clear of trash as well as making sure all bottle machines were well maintained and in working order.
• Opening and closing of the store in the morning and night.
• Performing miscellaneous duties such as sweeping the stores floors, unloading of deliveries relating to the front end, and removal of damaged, broken, or otherwise unsellable products from the sales floor for disposal.
