Pharmacy Technician Certification was received on July 31, 2000. Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy was received in February 2004. Pharmacy IV Certification was received in 2006. I am qualified to perform any duties required of a Pharmacy Technician. - 1986-1994 Pharmacy Tech Hospital District NWTH I performed Pharmacy Tech duties in the hospital setting such as inpatient and out patient pharmacy,mixed piggybacks and assembled IV fluids . stocked hospital floors with narcotics,assisted pharmacists,nurses and doctors as needed.
- 1994-1996 Pharmacy Tech Amarillo Hospital District, Pickens Center I performed Pharmacy Tech duties including receiving and input of of patient prescriptions ,counting and filling prescriptions ,ordering inventory and assisting patients .
- 1996-2002 Pharmacy Tech .Owens Healthcare / Cardinal/ J.O.Wyatt Clinic CHC I performed Pharmacy Tech duties as allowed by pharmacy law. These duties included receiving and inputting of patient prescriptions counting and filling of prescriptions , Assisting patients in person and on the phone . Also at this time i was responsible for ordering inventory .
- 2002- 2006 Reimbursement Specialist , McKesson Medication Management I gathered information from patients to complete applications for patients assistance programs offered by various drug manufactures . this enables J.O.Wyatt pharmacy to provide patients with medications they need at no cost to the patient .
- 2006-2023 NWTH Main Pharmacy Tech / Satellite Pediatric Tech I performed pharmacy tech duties including pulling medication, delivering it to the nurse or refilling it into the Pyxis machine during this time period i was also a Pediatric Tech and was responsible for making/mixing IV fluids, pulling up oral meds, delivering narcotics and cleaning the IV room and hood at the end of each day and numerous other duties.
- 2024-present I am currently at Lead Tech status and i am in Purchasing Dept. where i do a storeroom/supply order, prepack bulk meds on a Euclid machine, order and unpack a drug order, maintain a well kept storeroom, lift heavy cases up to 30lbs, work a pallet jack, help out in the main pharmacy, fill in delivery of medication and stock to the 4 offsite emergency rooms that Northwest has around Amarillo and i am responsible for various other jobs given to me by the Director of Pharmacy
