An accomplished Physical Therapist for over 30 years with extensive experience in patient care and clinical leadership. I started my career at Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation in July of 1994. I have grown as a therapist and a leader throughout this time and successfully completed a formal leadership program through the facility as well as a 1 year leadership program in Meriwether County. As the facility changed, so did my roles. I have served as a Clinical Coordinator for the Physical Therapy intern program, a Program Advisor over a team of therapists and support staff and most recently, Supervisor of LTACH Therapy Services. I continued to serve as an active, direct care provider. I have a passion for leading, supporting, and mentoring the people around me. - 30+ years of clinical experience, including direct hands-on treatment as well as mentoring interns and providing clinical guidance to my team. - 15+ years of leadership experience in different leadership positions at Roosevelt Warm Springs Hospitals as a Team Leader, Discipline Coordinator, LTACH Therapy Program Advisor, Supervisor of LTACH Therapy Services. Proficient in performance evaluation and feedback, conflict resolution and developing orientation training for staff. Knowledge of Joint Commission standards for Hospital Accreditation and Disease Specific Accreditation. I have had an active role in Joint Commission surveys as well in development of 2 Disease Specific Programs, Respiratory Failure and Wound Care. Proficient with the use of different EMR systems. CPSI, Cerner and Epic. Extensively involved with all 3 EMR system conversions for the hospitals, serving as a Subject Matter Expert for all 3 systems. Involved in training as well as updating systems to improve workflow. Working knowledge of rules, regulations, and requirements for IRF and LTACH settings. Extensive experience in data collection and reporting for LTACH therapy. Experience in coordinating Physical Therapy internship program as well as coordinating housing for therapy and medical students at the Roosevelt Warm Springs Hospitals.
