Main Responsibilities are:

A Pipefitter Helper assists experienced pipefitters in assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems used for heating, cooling, steam, gas, and water distribution. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various environments, including construction sites, commercial buildings, and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist with Pipe Installation & Assembly

, Help measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required specifications, Hold or position pipes, fittings, and valves while pipefitters secure them. Assist in assembling pipe sections using welding, soldering, or adhesive methods.

2. Carry and organize tools, equipment, and materials needed for the job. Clean and prepare work areas before and after installations. Assist in reading blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper pipe layout.

3. Operate and Maintain Tools & Equipment. Use basic hand and power tools, such as pipe cutters, drills, saws, and wrenches. Maintain tools in good working condition and report any issues to supervisors.

4. Ensure Job Site Safety & Compliance. Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines while working on-site. Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), including gloves, hard hats, and safety glasses. Help maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace.

5. Assist with Testing & Inspection. Support pipefitters in pressure testing and leak detection. Ensure all connections are properly sealed.

Serve as a go-to person for associate questions and concerns.

2. Customer Service Excellence. Provide friendly and professional customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries and purchases. Resolve customer complaints or escalate them to management when necessary. Ensure associates follow Publix customer service standards.

3. Store Operations & Department Maintenance. Ensure department shelves are stocked, organized, and visually appealing. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering products as needed. Help maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in work areas. Ensure products are properly rotated and labeled according to Publix guidelines.

4. Sales & Productivity Goals. Assist in meeting department sales goals by promoting products and special offers. Support inventory control and reduce product waste/shrink. Monitor and report any operational issues that could impact sales.

5. Safety & Compliance Ensure associates follow Publix safety and food handling guidelines. Identify and report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions. Encourage a clean and safe working environment for employees and customers.
