Responsible for 20 to 30 employees, depending on the time of year.

• Finding employees, setting up interviews, interviewing, hiring, firing, and discipline.
• Personally, covering shifts when employees call out.
• Efficiently re-routing employees when needed to ensure that all accounts are worked.
• I visited accounts as the merchandisers finished them to ensure back stock was organized, products were filled and rotated, displays were built and worked properly, and I would fill products they missed onto the shelf.
• I started at different stores throughout the week to ensure everyone was showing up on time and not attempting to clock in before arriving at their starting account.
• I was responsible for auditing mileage for the merchandisers.
• I dealt with store managers, receivers, wine stewards, and employees to maintain positive relationships and ensure that they were getting good service.
• Assigning, scheduling, and supervising staff to ensure coverage for all shifts.
• Submitted wage increases.
• Reviewed employee time sheets for accuracy before submitting them for payroll processing.
• Ensured compliance with company policies and procedures regarding safety, dress code, and hygiene standards.

While still doing my responsibilities as a lead merchandiser, I was also responsible for,

• Assigning, scheduling, and supervising staff to ensure coverage for all shifts.
• Reviewed employee time sheets for accuracy before submitting them for processing.
• Ensured compliance with company policies and procedures regarding safety and punctuality.
• Created invoices for deliveries. I brought back the invoices after deliveries, ran a tape, and submitted them.
• I used forklifts to drop pallets in the rafters to get the needed products, and kegs for delivery. After building them onto pallets, I used the forklift to load them into the delivery van.
• Upon delivery, I would check in the load with a store employee, work the product to the shelves and displays, or put the kegs where the employees asked.

• Personally in charge of 2-3 major daily accounts, ensuring that loads, backstock, and displays were properly built, worked, and maintained.
• Provided training and support for new staff members regarding merchandising operations.
• Responsible for ensuring that paperwork was collected and done correctly. Transported all refused products back to the warehouse to be scanned in, and put away.
• Stocked and rotated shelves.
• Maintained back stock organization and rotation.
• Inventoried back stock for the salespeople.
