Students were guided in how to think critically and reason through engagement with primary and secondary sources. They were challenged to formulate opinions about historical events in the past, making connections that will become relevant to their own lives in the future in order to engage in a digital and globalized world. Strengths include lesson planning, classroom assessment, and behavior management creating welcoming environments and engaging families to enhance student learning and differentiated instruction, and technology integration, fostering student engagement and a positive learning environment. In special education, as a mild to moderate disability teacher specialization included instruction, academic support, and behavioral interventions for students with learning, emotional, or cognitive disabilities, often in pull-out, inclusion, or self-contained settings. Key responsibilities included developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), adapting general curriculum, tracking student progress, and collaborating with families, teachers, and specialists.
