I was hired in as a housekeeper and later moved to laundry.

Housekeeping:

• Maintained cleanliness and sanitation standards in residents room and common areas.
• Trained new team members on cleaning protocols and safety procedures.
• Disinfected and mopped bathrooms to keep the facility clean and sanitary.
• Coordinated with the Dept. Supervisor to prioritize room assignments based on needs and urgency.
• Prevented the spread of infections by following hand hygiene protocols, proper PPE usage, and other safety guidelines.

Laundry:

• Assisted in training new staff on proper equipment usage and safety protocols.
• Operated traditional and computer-operated washers and dryers while observing all safety protocols.
• Reduced lost items by implementing an effective labeling system for residents belongings.
• Maintained a clean and organized work environment, ensuring optimal productivity.
• Ensured timely delivery of laundered items to residents,
• Followed all safety protocols and regulations when handling contaminated/ infectious linen.

Took some time out of the work force, to care for my Mother who became terminally ill. I along with hospice cared for her in my home for about 4 years. She pasted away in March of 2020 and I then applied for a job at Life Care in Jefferson City June 2020.
