I recently retired from a successful career in sales and my goal after retirement was to become a Puppy Raiser. Years ago, I learned about CCI and was impressed with their mission and decided that after retirement, I would become involved as a volunteer. I received Perdita III in early September 2023. I am very involved with the Carolina Crescent Volunteer Chapter here in Charlotte, NC and have great mentors here helping to educate me to prepare Perdita for success. I saw the listing for a Therapy Dog Outreach Coordinator and immediately knew that this would broaden my horizons even more and hopefully be an additional way to be of service to CCI. My sales experience along with the professional development responsibilities that I had with my previous employer could be put to good use in this position.
