I currently work for a flourishing Dermatology practice I assist with both medical and cosmetic procedures such as transcribing, rooming patient's, assist with the collection of biospy specimens, administer biologic injections, perform suture removals, complete blood draws for cosmetic procedures, sterilization of instruments, assist with Non-invasive procedures such as FaceTite/AccuTite/BodyTite and Cellfina. I also complete daily administrative duties such as phone triage, prescription prior authorizations and refills, faxes, and ext.

I worked both front and back office in a private out patient cosmetic surgical/clinical setting. Front office tasks included answering all incoming calls, scheduling appointments, checking patient's in/out, completed billing and collecting payments, sending faxes, and other various front office duties. Back office tasks included rooming all patient's, maintaining/restocking patient rooms and surgical areas, taking both pre/post operative photos, preform rapid testing such as HCG and Nicotine test, completed sterile processing of all surgical instruments, circulated operating room, completed monthly terminal cleaning of OR, assisted with discharge/transport of all patient's after procedures, also completed other various back office duties as delegated.

I traveled to various work assignments throughout the Houston area. I assisted with the setup and break down of medical equipment needed for each specific event. I performed vital signs such as weight, height, waist, blood pressure, and pulse. Collected and performed rapid glucose and cholesterol tests. Completed skin analysis using a skin scope device. Completed and performed any other job duties as instructed.

I roomed patient's and obtained all vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, pulse, and respiration. Acquired and documented information in EMR pertaining to the patient's medical history, drug history, complaints, and allergies. Performed rapid tests such as Urine dipstick, HCG, Strep, Influenza A&B, RSV, CBC, Vision and hearing tests. Administered routine immunizations and various types of medications; also performed venipuncture and straight catheterization. Completed clerical tasks such as creating word documents, data entry, phone triage, referrals, and insurance prior authorizations. Stocked patient rooms with necessary supplies, instruments and equipment. Monitored expiration dates of medications and medical supplies; also ensured there were adequate laboratory supplies.
