The last challenge in this position was planning and coordinating the transition of IT and telecommunications services support to a new location at Vandenberg AFB, CA. While in the US Air Force, performed operations and maintenance on dual satellite communications heavy earth terminals, including RF and digital equipment. Responsible for problem identification, troubleshooting, and repair of over 90% of all equipment failures while in the position. Responsible for the development of technical procedures, and managing and performing both on-the-job and formal course training. Accountable for the training progression of all forty to fifty personnel on all maintenance and operations activities. These efforts resulted in exceptional system reliability rates.
