  • Reported product ordering or shipping discrepancies to department manager. Helping the manager whenever he needed me to order for them.
  • Assisted with building displays in accordance with company standards. On the new added day, My boss had moved into the display building.
  • Priced and stocked inventory to encourage more sales for use. Such as when the truckloads would arrive you always want to make as much space or room as you can for when you're working.
  • Removed new product from trucks, opened containers, and routed products directly to sales floor or to storage locations. There's times where new items come in. Had to find time to cut it in on the shelf.
  • Requested new items from suppliers based on customer demand, current stock levels and planned promotions. There might be times where a customer wants something your store doesn't carry using a phone or a computer looking up the item and ordering it, can make a customers day.
  • Palletized boxes of merchandise to make it easier to restock large sections of merchandise. Best time to do this is when you possibly have prebook coming in and you need to store it by aisle or maybe if they're going to be going on display soon.
  • Prepared the sales floor for new promotions by building and moving displays and updating signs. Let's say it's around thanksgiving time and you want to put out a display of Heinz Gravy somewhere. You want to try and put it at a spot where you know it's gonna be seen or walked by a lot. So you know people and or customers won't have troubles finding the product they want.

Grocery Stocker

Cub Foods
06.2015 - 05.2018
  • Worked flexible shifts including nights or evenings, holidays, or weekends. Anytime the store needed someone to come in and work for any department, I'm didn't matter.
  • Assisted with breaking down loads and stocking assigned sections. When the new load/truck got there we always broke down the load or a couple hours and then we would continue and stock and face the store.
  • Removed new product from trucks, opened containers, and routed products directly to sales floor or to storage locations. There's times where new items come in. Had to find time to cut it in on the shelf.
  • Loaded and unloaded heavy items for team members and customers, including using pallet jacks regularly.
  • Assisted customers with locating and purchasing items located on sales floor or in storerooms. Customers are always trying to find what they need and getting out of the store as fastest as they can. Sitting there with no lines always helping them find where the item is located so they can get used to where things are.
  • Requested new items from suppliers based on customer demand, current stock levels and planned promotions. There might be times where a customer wants something your store doesn't have or carry using a phone or computer looking up the item and ordering it, can make a customers day.
  • Connected with customers to assist with questions, locate merchandise and carry heavy purchases to the customer's car. There might be some heavy items around the store that customers might not be able to carry helping them get it in their cart or even bringing it out to their car is a great way of showing great customer service.
  • Backed up front lines by running register during busy store periods. You might have a lot of things to do with loads and or display or maybe lining the shelf. Customers always come first. If you notice that your store is getting backed up at the register just hop on a register for a couple minutes to slow things down a bit.
  • Rotated stock to move the oldest items first, minimizing product waste. Anytime especially in the fresh departments rotating is very very required to do.
  • Palletized boxes of merchandise to make it easier to restock large sections of merchandise. Best time to do this is when you possibly have prebook coming in and you need to store it by aisle or maybe if they're going to be going on display soon.
  • Unpacked, tagged and stocked merchandise for sale on the main floor. There might be a time someone might not be able to find something on the shelf and they'll just throw it on the floor if they can't find it. You want to avoid this because a customer could be going down an aisle and trip and fall and could cause an injury.
