Despite having only one job, I actively participate in my church's community. I co-lead a City-Wide Church praise dance team, handle the paperwork, and organize the tryout routines. I am in charge of overseeing how parents communicate and receive information. As co-leader of the church's digital presentation team, I assist with gatherings and ensure that everything goes smoothly if the head ministry leader is absent. I participate in meetings with other leaders to ensure everything goes as planned. I would lend a hand at the Park City Initiative Inc. food bank. I continue to be a full-time student and work a full-time schedule. I have volunteered at Barnum School to assist third-grade students with lessons regarding educational work and summer camp activities. My leadership abilities over the years have enabled me to adapt to any situation. Through the church, I gained networking skills and learned how to handle difficult circumstances that may be beyond our control as individuals. I acquired communication skills while working as a cashier in my current position. I developed the ability to de-escalate a situation rather than fuel it further. My smile and upbeat attitude are my most vital assets. Even though a problem could be challenging, I am well-equipped to overcome those barriers. I know how to work with technology. I gained knowledge on how to coach others to improve. Even if I disagree, I learned how to adopt opposing viewpoints since I also learned how to uplift others rather than undermine them. Every voice counts.
At Amazing Grace Church Inc., where I worked as a devout member of the church, I helped create the content for church events. I helped the media crew prepare for live broadcasting. I helped run the bookstore and aided with hospitality by serving food inside the church. Sadly, Amazing Grace Church Inc. closed, but we had the opportunity of joining forces with City Wide, another church. In City Wide Church, the Digital presentation team does lyrics, which is what I now do. I developed marketing expertise for media exposure which will function as support if need be in other jobs.
While life can be challenging, I also learnt how to connect with and sympathize with others. After all, why add more hardship to someone else's already challenging circumstances? Walking with a godly attitude, being aware of what the community needs, and maintaining an acceptable posture in the heart I believe I'd make a wonderful employee because I work hard and am dedicated to being the person I need to be for myself and the next person I come into contact with.
