Primary Responsibilities:

1. Manages and leads International Logistics Coordinators.

2. Directs team activities by establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and ensures the availability of resources.

3. Directs and provides solutions for special/advanced transportation requirements including both domestic shipments and global transportation projects.

4. Prepares associated paperwork in compliance with federal, state, local, and international regulations.

5. Functions as back-up for the Global Trade Compliance Department.

6. Assists with Fike's Global Trade Compliance initiatives and activities, export screening process, tariff code classification, export license shipments and adherence to international trade regulatory requirements.

7. Creates and maintains departmental reports, dashboards, tool boxes and maintains visibility to 'high profile' shipments.

8. Leads department training initiatives and acts as the primary trainer and mentor for new employees.

9. Identifies and drives process improvements for the Traffic Department.

10. Stays informed and maintains awareness of international trade regulatory changes and their impact on Fike's imports/exports.

11. Stays informed of logistics technological advances and apply appropriate technology to improve logistics processes.

12. Communicates with other departments regarding prioritization, status and documentation details relating to orders and shipments.

13. Researches shipment problems and confers with appropriate personnel to reach a solution.

14. Acts as the main point of contact for internal and external customer projects.

15. Serves as the focal point for Traffic Department providing solutions, feedback for inquiries and resolving operating issues.

16. Manages project flow and coordinate with other shipping personnel regarding daily shipments to meet shipping dates and special requirements.

17. Ensures Dangerous Goods shipments are shipped within company standards and federal regulations including DOT, IMDG and ICAO/IATA.

18. Reviews and analyzes the applicable Dangerous Goods regulations for proper packing, handling, marking and labeling of the goods.

19. Reviews and analyzes Letters of Credit (LOC) to ensure the terms can be met.

20. Provides feedback for revisions to the LOC and request amendments as necessary.

21. Creates documentation that meets the LOC requirements.

22. Coordinates with LOC service provider, freight forwarders, overseas subsidiaries and customers to effectively execute shipments to the terms of the LOC.

23. Maintains required import and export documentation according to US law and corporate policy.

24. Able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the International Logistics Coordinator.

25. Adheres to the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) policies and procedures related to NIST 800-171 and completes all required CUI Awareness training, which includes collection, processing/handling, transmission, storage, and general safeguarding practices.
