In my current role, my responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with clinic representatives who provide our pharmacy with preventative care options for patients. I serve as a key point of contact with manufacturers and oversee the proper training of new hires on product use and quality standards. A core component of my position involves meeting monthly targets related to preventative healthcare, directly contributing to increased hospital revenue. As the lead technician, I am also responsible for clinical tasks such as placing IV catheters and using the Practice Information Management System (PIMS) for accurate patient record-keeping. Additionally, I help ensure efficient workflow among staff, providing guidance and support to address questions or concerns regarding their duties.

As a veterinary technician at Summertree Animal And Bird Clinic I assisted in the preparation and anesthesia monitoring of dental and surgical procedures for veterinarians, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency. I routinely changed isoflurane and sevoflurane within the anesthesia machines to maintain proper functionality and readiness for use. Educated clients on preventative wellness plans and consistently promoted recommended products and services, with a daily focus on increasing client engagement and driving sales.

I maintained detailed records of medical concerns and special instructions to ensure accurate and organized documentation for medical teams to review efficiently. Throughout my work, I remained committed to building trust with clients, which played a key role in fostering strong relationships and generating repeat business. Additionally, I managed multiple pets with varying needs and schedules, consistently delivering punctual and reliable care while accommodating individualized routines and special requests. This job was my high school practicum job for the career path of veterinary medicine.
