Clinical Duties:

Patient Interaction:

• Take patient histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures and making them comfortable.
• Assist with physical exams or minor procedures, including prepping the necessary instruments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Document patient assessments, treatments, and any changes in condition.

Laboratory Tasks:

• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens (e.g., blood, urine, and other bodily fluids).
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, and documentation of specimens.
• Maintain lab equipment and keep accurate records of test results.

Medication Administration:

• Administer medications as directed by the healthcare provider, including injections, oral medications, and topical treatments.
• Prepare and dispense medications under supervision.
• Track patient medication lists and report any changes to the healthcare provider.
  

Additional Responsibilities:

• Infection Control & Safety: Follow proper infection control procedures to ensure a safe, sterile environment for patients and staff.
• Patient Advocacy: Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers to ensure patient needs and concerns are communicated.

• Monitor inmate behavior, ensuring they follow facility rules and regulations.
• Conduct regular headcounts and ensure all inmates are accounted for.
• Enforce discipline and report any violations of rules or misconduct.

• Conduct routine security checks, including searching rooms, common areas, and inmate property for contraband (e.g., weapons, drugs).
• Maintain a secure and safe environment by preventing escapes, violence, or disturbances.
• Respond to emergency situations (e.g., fights, medical emergencies, or riots).
• Conduct body searches during intake or after certain activities to prevent contraband entry.

• Control inmate movement within the facility (e.g., during meals, recreation, and lockdown).
• Supervise inmate work assignments and recreational activities.
• Resolve conflicts between inmates and mediate disputes to maintain peace.
• Ensure inmates comply with facility policies, including dress codes, work assignments, and cleanliness standards.

• Maintain regular communication with supervisors and other correctional staff regarding any incidents or concerns.
• Write detailed reports on inmate behavior, incidents, and any actions taken.
• Communicate effectively with inmates, demonstrating respect while maintaining authority.

Customer Service:

• Greet customers warmly and offer assistance.
• Answer customer questions about products, prices, and promotions.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy.

Inventory Monitoring:

• Regularly check stock levels to identify items that are low or out of stock.
• Conduct physical stock counts and reconcile them with inventory records.

Supplier Coordination:

• Order products from suppliers or wholesalers as needed to replenish stock.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
