Customer Service Representative Supervisor

I started at this job as a cashier, and within 6 months I had worked my way up to becoming a customer service supervisor. As a supervisor, I help our customers with everything they need. Returns, exchanges, helping them find items, selling them lottery tickets, helping them with their rewards accounts, and trying to make their experience at Cosentino's food store an amazing and unforgettable one, are just some of the tasks that I do as a supervisor. While taking care of the customer is the most important part of my job I also have other duties that add to my experience. For instance, at the end of the night, I had to count the lottery and stamps to make sure nothing was missing or oversold. I also had to balance all of the registers to see if our cashiers were over or short and input them into the computer. that way we can track to see how many times they were over and short and by how much. With this information, the cashier can improve and work to become better at giving the correct change. I now help out at 2 stores. And at the newest store i've learned how to card customers for tobacco and alcohol products.

I worked here to help out my grandmother (the owner of this business) She was severely behind on entering her invoices for her customers. So I worked here a little over a month until I went back to school. Here I used my knowledge from my accounting classes to help me enter invoices. I would take the information, like the name of the client, what they used to buy the arrangement, and their address, and create or add it to a client account. Sometimes the client would be another business and they would have tax-exempt forms and I would have to also add that to their account so we could use it again when they bought another arrangement. I also learned a couple of things outside of this job description. For example, I learned to take an arrangement order over the phone and in person. I also learned how to store flowers and cut their stems as well as the basics of how to make an arrangement. I learned how to properly put an arrangement into a car and safely strap it in without ruining the arrangement.

At this job I worked as a cashier. But I did so much more than just take orders and give them food. As a cashier at wendys I would take orders on my headset and put them into our digital register. While doing this I had to multi-task by getting their drink ready and also packing up the person currently at the window's food. In times when we were short staffed I also had to make sure fries and chicken nuggets were fresh and ready for orders. Part of my job was to make sure customers didnt have to wait so long in line by keeping our times low and making sure their food was ready within a couple minutes of them ordering it. When there was a break I would restock cups, lemonade, fridge drinks, fries and chicken nugget cartons and also make sure we had plenty of bags of fries and chicken nuggets in the freezer upfront in case of a rush. Another important part of my job was to make sure the dining area and kitchen were clean for customer satisfaction. This way customers could come into the dining area to a clean and stocked dining room. When I opened I had to prep food, stock and clean everything to make sure we were ready for the day.
