Summary

Objectives: To obtain a position on the Greater North Dakota Chamber Board of Directors. Ensure the goals of Greater North Dakota Chamber are met and articulate the President and CEO’’s requests in pursuit of these aims and maintain a climate that is hospitable and encourages engagement, participation, collegiality, and innovation. Contribute as a member of the Greater North Dakota Chamber ’s term-appointed volunteer Board of Director’s team in the development of the mission and strategic plan and support its successful implementation. Contribute to the promotion of an effective organization climate and culture, promoting the Greater North Dakota Chamber and its distinctive values. Uphold and promote the Greater North Dakota Chamber ’s core values. Lead and develop member engagement to ensure that their contribution to their members and employers is maximized. Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure support and engagement behind the Greater North Dakota Chamber ’s Strategic Plan. Develop a clear framework for the measurement of business and community engagement activity and performance. Use my scalable leadership skills to implement strategic change and strategies for growth, as well as for driving organizational development and effectiveness within the Greater North Dakota Chamber family. Maintain a thorough appreciation of, and sensitivity to the current workforce development needs with a shrewd understanding of key drivers, decision making environments, and future challenges our employers throughout our great state. Demonstrate a senior level track record of leadership in cross institutional activities and within organizations of significant scale. Develop a strategic, coordinated approach to fostering external relationships which adds value to the Greater North Dakota Chamber s including those with key policy influencers. Represent the Board of Directors in regional and state fora including regional development and regeneration, business engagement and corporate relations. Build the Greater North Dakota Chamber ’s knowledge exchange and innovation activity aligning to its wider mission and role. Ensure that work with internal/external organizations meet set goals and recognize those supportive businesses. Lead by using my experiences, skills, leadership and talents in strategic planning, performance management, budget, employee relations, policy management, and compliance. Provide sophisticated, visible, assertive direction for the success of the Greater North Dakota Chamber in a dynamic, changing environment. Use my global knowledge of cultures and diversity to create and nurture partnerships with many local, regional and global stakeholders to advance the Greater North Dakota Chamber agendas. Use my experience of twenty years in both the Dickinson and Bismarck Mandan Chambers while serving in multiple roles to include the position of Chair to expand outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities in support of our members and communities. Support and ensure that the operations and engagement efforts have the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, people and systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure compliance while maintaining operating efficiency. Be responsible and accountable for delivering an integrated, efficient and effective approach to the Greater North Dakota Chamber ’s engagement activity. Use my personal relationships with North Dakota business and community leadership to identify and cultivate strategically important partnerships and alliances. Help to establish, maintain, and evaluate the Greater North Dakota Chamber ’s long-range objectives and strategies for accomplishing those objectives.
