Whom may I concern, I have worked in many fields of education and workplaces. Most of them taught me how to work with others and how to treat people when I had to provide service for them.
I was born in Korea, moved to the States when I was 6 years old. I went to kindergarten to 5th grade, and moved back to Korea. I learned English and how to be with other people that was different from me.
After I went back to Korea, I pursued in education there. Going through the grades, I also moved a lot in Korea, helping me get to know others in a short mount of time, and learn how to care for others. Then went to Hannam University to learn in business, and media. In the years, I learned about my major, but didn't quite think it was my way, seeing I really can't help others directly.
With concerns, I went on a year abroad in England, to learn about different cultures and to see other insights of the world. I went on, learning in filmmaking courses, that helped me how to work in a team. Also being in England, I also learned about the cultures around Europe, traveling and meeting strangers, helping me to see how they think, and change the views of how I think as well.
After the year abroad, I wanted to take a year off. Still in the year off, I wanted to learn about something different. I was looking for jobs and found one that I wanted to learn about and that I had interest in. I had caught interest in Spain, and fashion. And in the searching, I found a job in Zara. Working at Zara, I learned how I could be professional to customers so that I could provide the maximum service that they would need. Also, the job taught me how to work with my coworkers, as in making a positive environment, being professional, and to be recognized as a good worker in a workplace.
After the months, our family decided moving back to United States. After everything was decided, I decided I want to pursue in a job I can help people in. Right now, I am working in a market. Started 2 months ago, but they decided to make me a team leader because they know I was a good learner, a good leader, and a good person to be working with. Even with the position, I want to be someone that I could help others directly. With a interest in psychology also, I want to be working in a job that I know I'm interested in.
Thank You, Sejig Kim
