While working at North West Kansas Community Corrections I took on an internship. With this internship, I learned the dedication and the hard work it takes to be an Intensive Supervision officer and learned how to do intakes as well as risk assessments with also understanding Effective Practices in Community Supervision (EPICS). This was a great experience for me, and I really enjoyed it. I did this internship for a class and got all credits from it as well with North West Kansas Community Corrections Director Erin Geist grading me.
