Flight Line Dispatcher

  • Completely implemented and established the Dispatch Services Desk, by hiring student workers, producing a Dispatch Services Desk and Flight Line Scheduler Manual and enforcing the new procedures within the Flight Operations. Worked with the Flight Operations General Manager to get the system in place.
  • Oversee operations of the Dispatch Services Desk, including dispatching and checking aircraft in and out to students, ensuring compliance with pre-established procedures, and maintaining periodic operational reports
  • Train student workers on dispatching procedures to properly handle daily flight events.
  • Schedule student dispatch workers weekly to aid students in dispatch services to students currently flying
  • Supervision of student dispatch workers and ensure that all hours are correct and turned in to human resources

  • Analyze after hours and weekend flying to ensure compliance with all established dispatch procedures
  • Actively monitor VIR Tower and FlightAware aviation trackers to ensure EKU personnel are operating within established SOP procedures and course rules
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of office supplies and copies of necessary dispatch forms
  • Manage the inventory and distribution of controlled support equipment (Sentry’s, headsets, etc.)
  • Monitor student account balances to ensure adequate funds for the flight mission
  • Work closely with Flight Line Scheduler to determine current list of available assets
  • Cross train jobs with Flight Line Scheduler when on vacation/or other times off
  • Schedule stage checks for students that are progressing to the next level of flight training
  • Ensure all EKU aircraft are adequately stocked with the necessary equipment, pre-flight supplies and required documents
  • Ensure that the student that was in aircraft makes sure the aircraft interiors are clean and free of trash and debris
  • Invoicing and auditing students dispatch with Flight Schedule Pro software for audit purposes
