Accomplishments
I am five days away from hitting a year of breastfeeding! When I was pregnant I tried to maintain a positive attitude around breastfeeding and not putting too much pressure on myself if it didn't work for us. I was very lucky and baby latched right away. I did have my fair share of clogged ducts and had mastitis at one point. I very recently started going back to work and am juggling the challenges that come along with working while breastfeeding. My goal was to make it to a year and I'm so proud of myself and baby girl for (almost) getting there. I've told myself now that I might just breastfeed until she's ready to self wean although there appears to be no slowing down on her part! I would love to be able to share my story and my experience with other women and hopefully be able to be a source of support to help them with their breastfeeding goals.
