CUST

  • Dear Nurse Recruitment Team
  • I am excited to submit my application for the Registered Nurse, Resident – Critical Care position in the Labor and Delivery Unit at Broward Health Medical Center, night shift (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.). As a recent graduate with an Associate of Science in Nursing from Miami Dade College and a former Unit Secretary in the Neurosurgery unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital, I bring both clinical training and real-world healthcare experience that make me a strong candidate for this residency.
  • Throughout my academic and professional journey, I’ve developed a strong foundation in patient care, communication, and critical thinking. During my clinical rotations—which included labor and delivery, pediatrics, telemetry, and behavioral health—I gained valuable hands-on experience supporting both patients and families during some of the most intense and emotional moments of their lives. These rotations, especially in women’s health, reinforced my passion for maternal care and my desire to grow in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment like L&D.
  • In addition to my clinical training, my background as a Unit Secretary has given me a unique perspective on the inner workings of a hospital unit. I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with interdisciplinary teams, manage complex scheduling and communications, and support patients and staff with empathy and efficiency. This experience has made me highly adaptable, calm under pressure, and confident in my ability to contribute to a collaborative care team.
  • I am committed to delivering safe, compassionate, evidence-based care while continuing to learn and grow as a nurse. I would be honored to begin my nursing career at Broward Health, where I can build on my skills and be part of a team that supports patients during some of the most meaningful moments of their lives.
  • Thank you for considering my application. I welcome the opportunity to interview and discuss how I can contribute to your exceptional team.
  • Warm regards
  • Sherell Jordan, ASN
