Sherry Duffy

• Established the infrastructure of the Commonwealth Institute of Kentucky. Recruited 49 scholars from multiple disciplines within and outside the university, securing over $20 million in health equity and health policy research, supporting ten to sixteen graduate students per semester.
• Primary Kentucky political advocate working to obtain State University Partnerships, securing Medicaid data for faculty research.
• Led the research office oversight, administration, and management of fiscal research functions; including comprehensive financial activity and regulatory compliance.
  
• Work with academic and community partners in research and service endeavors to advance population health.

Appointed by University of Louisville President Neeli Bendapudi as the Chair of the Commission on the Status of Women (COSW). COSW serves as the President’s chief policy advisory group for faculty and staff gender equity. Leading and coaching approximately 30 faculty/staff women and women advocates to advance campus equity.

• Led the public relations work for the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. programs with over 500 students: increasing enrollment in the Graduate Program by 50% and the Undergraduate Program by 30%.
• Taught undergraduate courses in the B.S. in Organizational Leadership & Learning program, on-line and face-to-face.
• Developed/maintained relationships, initiatives, and partnerships with employers and community workforce development initiatives in Jefferson and Hardin Counties.
• Military Affairs Liaison leading to the establishment of the UofL innovative accelerated master’s program for US Army personnel

• Purchased existing Childcare Corporation in 1991; doubling the revenue by 2001.
