• Company Overview: Cobham is a defense company dealing mostly with government contracted jobs
• Specifically, I worked with an affiliation of Airbus called 'One Web'
• This is an 8 year contract to build 834 satellites that have already been sold to several 3rd world countries, giving internet to remote locations around the world
• My first 2 1/2 years, I worked as an aluminum T.I.G Welder
• Myself and 4 other welders were responsible for building said satellites, all material was 0.020 thickness aluminum.
• Several sets have been launched and are now functioning at full capacity
• While in this job, I was asked to train in plating these satellites, as they were unable to keep up with the workload
• After 1 month, I had excelled to the point where I was asked to change positions and run an up and coming electroless plating department

As the new plating department was completed, several problems were found with the contractors build and department was unable to open, project was scrubbed and I began to search for alternative work.

• Fabrication of large, detailed tube steel frames for electrical and computer equipment housing with extremely tight tolerances

• Welding stainless steel, aluminum and mild steel custom fabrications to costumer specific engineer blueprints

• Soldering and fabrication of several types (40-50) brass and copper lanterns from company catalog
• Custom Brass and copper lanterns and other fabrications based on customer specific blueprints

• Rolls of foil with aluminum, metallic finish for package branding of large corporations
