Work History

Medical Assistant

Sanjay Madan MD
12.2021 - 01.2023

At this job as a medical assistant and a front desk receptionist has allowed me to learn so many things. My tasks in the office when it is my day to be in the back with patients is either check in patients or check out, verify medication and if there were any changes if they are coming from the hospital. Also drawing blood work for labs, urine collection, wound care, EKGs, Holter monitor, ear cleaning and administrating injections (depo, toradal, Influenza Vaccines, etc.) setting up for knee injections and aspiration.

Working in the front desk is more of a multitasking job, where we are responsible of answering call from patients, schedule appointments, setup new patients, check insurance, check faxes, do referral and authorization, take messages from patients, call in medication, communicate with other offices regarding patients, ordering from DME companies, setting up patients for home health, etc. Being bilingual it has helped our patients and Dr Madan to be able to communicate better and understand each other and opened more doors to Spanish speaking patients to our office.

I do enjoy my job I have learned a lot and Dr Madan has given me the opportunity to grow and be who I am now and opened more door for me. As you can see in my resume ii went from a CAN to receptionist and medical assistant. I have gone a step close to my future job being a Registered Nurse.

Madonna Ptak Morton Rehab Center
10.2020 - 01.2021

At Madonna Ptak Morton Plant Rehab is where we offer care and serve complete would care, dysphagia/swallowing dysfunction, amputation recover, joint replacements and more. They do receive therapy such as speech, physical and occupational therapy. In this location we have patients that come straight from surgery and weak, we push them to start gaining strength and leaving to their lovely home and to their families. I learned so much here and I enjoyed every moment

Medical Assistant

Bayside Urgent Care Center
12.2022 - Current

At Bayside urgent care I was able to learn much more and add more experience that my past jobs taught me.

I am currently a medical assistant at this job and we are a urgent care and our scheduled hours are 12 hour shifts we see many different types of cases everyday. From a simple cold to more complicated cases.

My job responsibilities here is to triage patients in the back we do bloodwork, assist with lacerations, UA's, casts for fractures, sterilize surgical instruments, EKGs, stress test and many more procedures.

Being bilingual has helped a lot in my current job since we do have a lot of Spanish speaking patients that come to our urgent care and I am also constantly translating for out Physician Assistants. Working around many PA's and seeing several cases at work has taught me so much and I value this so much since it was my first job working in a urgent care that everyday we all learn something new in a environment full of adrenaline and fast paced work place.

Certified Nursing Assistant

Oak Manor Healthcare & Rehab Center
10.2019 - 08.2020

At Oak Manor we had the knowledge and skilled nursing staff to meet our resident’s healthcare needs. I was a CAN at this facility and my responsibilities were to assist approximately 10-15 residents each shift with their daily living activities. Since this facility was a rehab center as well, we had patients that were there just for days, week and sometimes months. Both long- and short-term patients received same assistant, help, care and therapy. Everywhere I go I get emotionally attached with my patients and in these locations, I went through a lot of emotional situations, we had patience that were total care and were the most that needed us. From turning, showering, standing and keeping wounds clean. As a CNA and a human, we need to see more then just as a daily work responsibility but to see that our patients are humans and that they have feelings and need the right care and love.

Medication Certified Nursing Assistant

Seasons Of Largo
01.2018 - 09.2019

Seasons of Largo is an assisting living facility in Largo, Florida. Which is a more independent and allows the residents to interact with peers. My responsibilities at Seasons of Largo were either assist residents with their personal needs such as showers, stand by any minimum assistant they required. However, they also have a memory care floor where in this floor I was responsible of taking care to patients with Alzheimer’s, Dementia and as well patients that required extra assistance. In this facility we were able and given the opportunity to level up a step more and become a medical assistant, where we were responsible of passing out medications to our residents at there scheduled time. In memory care floor it was more of a work we needed to find ways to give patients their medications with out them rejecting their meds. It was a challenge for me, but I love challenge. Both roles that I had in this facility was a huge responsibility that was in my hands, but I loved my job.
