Traveled between two offices, located in Westlake Village and Simi Valley, CA. The private practice specializes in Plastic, Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery. Job duties were the same in both offices: Gather, open and set up sterile equipment, instruments, supplies and medications needed for the surgical procedure according to the surgeons' preferences. Performs routine surgical scrub, set up the sterile field, perform counts with the circulator, assists with draping the patient and the sterile field, anticipates the needs of the surgeons' by passing instruments and supplies during procedure. Prepares sterile dressings, helps transport the patient to the recovery area, updates and keeps accurate records of the surgeons' preferences, and instrument decontamination and sterilization.
