Currently I'm a Business agent for U.F.C.W186d. In my day to day . I advocate for union members that work primarily with E&J Gallo Winery. This means reviewing a members case and making sure that Gallo is taking the appropriate legal actions . This would be done through the Grievance procedure. I Unfortunately some cases do end up in arbitration. I work close with legal counsel when preparing for arbitration. Such as gathering witnesses statements doing research and keeping good records of day to day interactions. E&J Gallo operates under a Collective Bargaining Agreement that sets terms and conditions for most issues . I have been part of contract negotiations for over 20yrs the last 6 I have been Speaker for UFCW 186D.

Working in the Bottling floor at E&J Gallo is very fast pace and technologically advance. Bottling is Also a area that falls under Good Manufacturing Practices GMP. During this time I was also trained in I.S.O this is the leading standard for Quality Management Systems. In the Cellar as a Racker and Blender we would be tasked with pumping wine from one tank to another and adding the ingredients sent by the wine maker. These duties did includes fork lift certification And being respirator trained. In the cellar we worked independently from other there for Racker and Blenders must be self driven
