Daily responsibilities include(but not limited to):

• Freight Management: Organizing and ordering trailers to unload based on freight composition and priority, work flow demands, customer orders, vendor shipments, and outbound needs. Tracking and planning trailer unloads according to expected arrival times or delays.
• Supervisor: Flexibly assigning 60-120 associates to specific tasks or roles according to daily work flow requirements or active projects. Helping associates with barriers; personal or work-related. Assisting other departments with specific needs and coordinating with operations managers to achieve operational objectives and meet standard metrics.
• Support: Solving virtual/physical issues that impede warehouse flow, such as, damaged product/equipment/trailers, incorrect virtual/physical trailer load manifests, or deep-diving virtual/physical inventory to locate missing/dwelling freight.
• Quality Control: Ensuring associates follow standard operating procedure while working on the inbound dock; regarding operating vehicles, equipment, and conveyor belts to guarantee associate safety and product quality. Readily coaching less-experienced associates with methods to maximize efficiency and minimize attrition during 10-12 hour shifts.

Assigned to various tasks on the inbound dock:

• Unloading/loading floor-loaded or palletized freight while using equipment, such as, pallet jacks, conveyor belts, powered industrial trucks(PITs), or with other associates
  
• Working on the conveyance line unpackaging freight to prepare for storage or customer orders
  
• Transporting designated freight across the warehouse for other associates to process or store
  
• Tasked to problem solve any immediate problems other associates may have on the conveyance lines regarding damaged or unprocessable freight
  
• Tasked to process non-conveyable product and hazmat in order to ship to specialized warehouses
  
• Entrusted as the Process Guide(PG) over the Reserve StowRacks Sales Rank(RSR) to monitor and pick product for Prime customer orders to meet specific deadlines, while also monitoring stow associates to ensure the product is processed in time
