The topic was Family Reunification - the process of bringing families together after a disaster. Chester County Emergency Services started the family reunification planning process following Sandy Hook school shooting in 2012. Throughout 2013 - 2015, county emergency management worked tirelessly with public and private schools; businesses who agreed to serve as a reunification sites; state and local law enforcement; municipalities; and countless voluntary organizations to make this possible. The presentation focused on how to identify a reunification center, partners needed to operate the center, and the process to reunite families together.
