I have spent my time at SASA working one on one with clients who are striving to rebuild their lives after they have gotten off the path they had originally wanted. I worked as a Transitional Housing Program Director and had anywhere from three to nine households at a time on my caseload. Through this grant funded program clients were able to receive emotional, financial, and educational assistance. As a team the families and I worked on fine tuning skills like employment, finances/budgeting, family structure, self-esteem, and accountability. I was responsible for going into the home or work at least once a week to ensure they were succeeding at the goals they had set for themselves.

I also have facilitated both the Women's Support Group for victims of domestic and sexual violence and the Children's Support Group for children who have seen or experienced sexual or domestic violence. We met weekly and discussed various issues and worked as a group to overcome past experiences and learn to move forward and succeed.

I was coordinator of the Batterers Intervention Program for a four county area in Nebraska. This is a thirty six week program that men who are charged with domestic violence or sexual assault are often court ordered to enter. This program requires me to work closely with the men, their victims, as well as their assigned probation officers.
