Collaborates with care team to develop individualized anesthetic plan through collective interpretation of lab tests, imaging studies, previous surgical and anesthetic interactions and outcomes, and direct communication with the patient and their family members. Provided direct care to critically ill patients and their families in the treatment of life threatening conditions including septic shock necessitating vasoactive medications and invasive hemodynamic monitoring, respiratory failure requiring ECMO or oscillation, individuals with uncontrolled hypertension needing continuous intravenous cardiac medications, and mismanaged diabetics requiring ENDOTOOL. Performed nursing duties related to same day surgery patients including IV starts, accurate and complete preoperative assessments, assisting CRNA's during the induction and emergence of anesthesia, ensuring maintenance of sterile technique in the opening and counting of instruments and supplies, and utilization of both paper and computer programs for accurate and timely charting.
