Training History

Trains health services management specialists to perform duties as prescribed in AFI 41-210, TRICARE operations and Patient Administration Functions, in support of patient services activities to include admission and disposition procedures, outpatient and inpatient records functions, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, inpatient unit administration, appointment system, managed care programs, third party liability, medical affirmative claims, line of duty determinations and misconduct, medical evaluation board (MEB) and medical air evacuation of patients; in recourses and information management to include the medical expense and performance reporting system, safeguarding of patient valuables, and basic information systems knowledge to include hands-on use of computer terminals; and in general, all functional areas to include development of Air Force correspondence, word processing and keyboard skills, publications and forms management, electrical messages, and communications management programs. Medical Readiness Training instruction is conducted at a field-training site.
