Job Summary

Responsible for assisting with all functions of the Maintenance Storeroom. This position will assist the Storeroom/Purchasing Manager with ordering and negotiating the cost of materials, equipment and supplies from vendors and ensuring the accuracy of all inventory systems. Will also assist with supervision of Storeroom Clerks. A wide degree of creativity and flexibility is expected.

Essential Job Duties

* Reviews material request, evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine the most desirable suppliers. Communicates these findings to all parties involved.
* Receives proper authorization from necessary Department Managers prior to purchase.
* Prepares estimates of materials and inventory items.
* Keep-stock materials for bot inventory and non-inventory items.
* Runs weekly reports such as asset/expense items count, runs cycle count activities and assure accuracy and accountability of inventory.
* Strives to drive cost from the system, while still maintaining a high level of service.
* Will assist with performing AP Mark view related receiving functions for OGS.
* Will direct and fulfill the blue and red OGS forms.
* Provides all necessary information and training to subordinates to allow them to be successful at their jobs.
* Conducts weekly safety meetings with all subordinates.
* Maintains an accurate and organized record keeping system and works directly with all departments to provide records and services.
* Communicates closely with the Stockroom/Procurement Manager on all items as they relate to plant efficiencies and financial goals.
* Plans, organizes, supervises, controls and evaluates the work of stockroom clerks.
* Provides leadership through effective planning, motivation and management techniques to ensure the orderly processing of stockroom work.
* Prepares and maintains departmental records and reports related to the stockroom and its inventory.
* Implements the use of new computer software programs, hardware, and other technology applicable to stockroom related services such as SAP, Infor-EAM, MS Office etc.
* Works to integrate, implement and improve all company-used software such as Infor-EAM, Oracle, SAP, MS Office etc.
* Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationship with those contracted in the course of work.
* Completes assigned tasks in a reliable and timely fashion.
* Will maintain the storeroom in a clean and organized fashion.
* Will support management in achieving all business goals.
* Must be able to display strong decision making skills and function with minimal supervision.
* Assures physical security of the Site Store Rooms
* May perform other duties as required.

Statement of Coverage

Responsible for assisting the Purchasing and Storeroom Manager with maintaining the integrity and accuracy of approximately 5MM in inventory across the site.

Scope of Responsibility

* Will assist with the supervisory responsibilities of 8 - 10 Storeroom Clerks across the site.
* Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

* Must be knowledgeable in the principles of organization and management of stockroom personnel.
* Must be knowledgeable in methods, procedures, materials and equipment used in maintenance, including estimations, record keeping and inventory systems
* Must be knowledgeable in the requirements for maintaining equipment and buildings in good repair and in compliance with all applicable safety standards
* Must have equipment knowledge
* Must be able to perform basic math calculations, including percentages and ratios (required for SCC testing)
* Must have good computer skills and application knowledge, such as, Oracle, Kronos, SAP and Infor EAM.
* Word and Excel skills are desired.
* Must have good written and verbal communications skills.
* Must be able to provide answers and use Oracle to receive items, clear Mark view, research and clear up old orders through forensic accounting methods.
* Must have business acumen in dealing with both internal and external customers and vendors.

Education and Experience

High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years of experience in planning or stockroom; 5 years relevant experience with working knowledge of inventory, Oracle and/or SAP systems.
